This has to be the worst accounting service I have used in over 20 years. They are unprofessional, unorganized, emotionally driven, and disrespectful. I was referred to them by Tax Strategist of America (TSOA). You will not be able to speak with anyone from this firm. All correspondence is by email. What they do not tell you is that one person is monitoring the thread, but the person who needs the information is not. Confusing, right? I thought it was odd that you could never talk to the accountant. And, if
My experience with Tina and the "Your Account" team has been nothing short of incredible. They work very hard to ensure that you're getting the best out of your entire experience with filing taxes, organizing finances, and getting in control of an area of life that can sometimes feel a bit chaotic. I recommend them to everyone I know who needs this kind of help and support. Being an Adult can be hard "Your Account" makes it easier.
I have known Tina for over 40 years, and she has always been at the top of her class with math and other subjects related to her profession. I have 100 % confidence in her handling my accounting and tax preparation needs! Also, Jessica is quite the professional too, and has excellent phone manners and client relation skills. YOUR ACCOUNTANT is certainly a great choice for all your personal and business accounting needs.
Over the course of 10 years, I tried many times with several accountants to resolve my IRS tax issues. I found Tina's website and I was inspired by her mission statement. So I figured I would give her a chance and I am so glad now that I took the chance. She totally delivered. I owed 140,000 and she settled for less than 10,000. I thought it would never get resolved thank you so much Tina.
Tina is a true professional! I have referred her clients that had serious tax problems and she litteraly saved them from going to jail! She has the knowledge and contacts to get the deal done in a very caring and professional manner. If you owe the IRS, call Tina, she works miracles!
I have found the service fast and she does a great job!!!! One year I took my taxes somewhere my sister said. I called and wrote letters many times and made visits before I ever got my information back and several months. The next year I went back to Your Accountant and she went over the previous years taxes(I hadn't thought of it) for free and filed all amendments and got money back from the previous year. Highly recommended and don't even think of going elsewhere!
I decided to move my business and personal accounts a few years ago, it proved to be financially beneficial along with giving me the right direction to grow my business to another level. Tina along with her staff are professional along with rapid to responded to any needs.
I have worked with Tina and her team for over 2 years now. Their professionalism and knowledge of the ever changing tax code is second to NONE. I highly recommend Tina Pittman at Your Accountant to anyone seeking a CPA and tax preparation services for business and personal.
I have been with Your Accountant for over 10 years. Your Accountant provides service, user friendly accounting reports, and updated tax information. She is always available for questions, concerns and consultation. The monthly newsletter is a bonus.
I would highly recommend Tina Pittman and her team. She's done a great job servicing all of our small business accounting & tax needs for over 13 years.
Tina helped me organize my records and found deductions I didn't even know I had... Tina Pittman CPA is excellent and I would recommend her to anyone who likes keeping more of what they make !
CPA helped me out so much as a small business! As someone with little to no experience with business taxes they took the time to teach me all the necessary processes. I highly recommend them!
Tina underpromises and overdelivers. She does what she says she's going to do, and gives solid recommendations on tax advice and business structuring. I'm glad I have her on my side.
I have been working with Tina for close to ten years, she offers very good service and precise work. I highly recommend her and her team. Dick Reeder

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
